Krankenh\u00e4usern, Alten- und Krankenpflegeeinrichtungen verursachen Noroviren Gastroenteritis-Ausbr\u00fcche, die ein erhebliches Ausma\u00df annehmen k\u00f6nnen. Symptome einer Noroviren-Erkrankung sind Erbrechen, Durchfall und \u00dcbelkeit. Erkrankungen k\u00f6nnen das ganze Jahr \u00fcber auftreten. Eine H\u00e4ufung von Erkrankungen ist allerdings in den Wintermonaten zu beobachten (\u201ewinter vomiting disease\u201c). Die \u00dcbertragung erfolgt entweder direkt von Mensch zu Mensch oder indirekt \u00fcber verunreinigte Fl\u00e4chen, Gegenst\u00e4nde, Nahrungsmittel (z.B.
