Por ejemplo, la carne de caballo podr\u00eda especificarse en la etiqueta como carne de vacuno. Estas alteraciones se pueden detectar con alta especificidad y cuantificar de forma relativa mediante PCR en tiempo real (por ejemplo, con porcentajes de la especie animal respectiva en relaci\u00f3n con la cantidad total de carne).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, la determinaci\u00f3n de la especie animal en los productos c\u00e1rnicos tambi\u00e9n puede ser necesaria por prescripciones religiosas (halal y kosher). Las investigaciones realizadas por motivos religiosos, en especial en relaci\u00f3n con el cerdo en productos c\u00e1rnicos o alimentos procesados, no incluyen ning\u00fan valor umbral t\u00e9cnico.
