Outre la souche H5, il existe d\u2019autres sous-types importants tels que H7 et H9. Dans les \u00e9tablissements collectifs comme les h\u00f4pitaux, les maisons de repos et les \u00e9tablissements de soins, les norovirus peuvent provoquer des \u00e9pid\u00e9mies de gastro-ent\u00e9rite susceptibles de prendre de l\u2019ampleur. Les sympt\u00f4mes associ\u00e9s aux infections \u00e0 norovirus sont les vomissements, les diarrh\u00e9es et les naus\u00e9es.
