Diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9tudes ont montr\u00e9 que les plus fortes concentrations de r\u00e9sidus d\u2019ac\u00e9tylgestag\u00e8nes peuvent \u00eatre observ\u00e9es dans les tissus adipeux. Le MPA, par exemple, ne peut \u00eatre d\u00e9tect\u00e9 dans le plasma qu\u2019au bout de quelques jours apr\u00e8s administration, mais ne peut \u00eatre d\u00e9tect\u00e9 avec pr\u00e9cision dans les urines. Apr\u00e8s administration, de fortes concentrations de MPA non m\u00e9tabolis\u00e9 peuvent \u00eatre d\u00e9tect\u00e9es dans la graisse des veaux, m\u00eame au bout de 19\u00a0jours.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"block-tabs__content  tab-hormonestabs-3-2\"><p>Les progestatifs synth\u00e9tiques peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s pour inhiber l\u2019\u0153strus ou comme traitement de synchronisation apr\u00e8s une interruption et pour am\u00e9liorer la fertilit\u00e9. Sa bioactivit\u00e9 orale est, respectivement, environ 10 ou 100\u00a0fois plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e que l\u2019activit\u00e9 des progrestatifs suivants\u00a0: ac\u00e9tate de chlormadinone (CMA) ou ac\u00e9tate de m\u00e9droxyprogest\u00e9rone (MPA). Administr\u00e9 par voie parent\u00e9rale, le MLGA pr\u00e9sente une activit\u00e9 hormonale encore 125\u00a0fois plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e que celle de la progest\u00e9rone. Compte tenu de ses propri\u00e9t\u00e9s fortement lipophiles, le MLGA s\u2019accumule 200\u00a0fois plus dans la graisse que dans le plasma sanguin. On sait que les b\u00eata-agonistes peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s pour obtenir de meilleures performances dans le domaine de la production animale. Ils permettent notamment d\u2019am\u00e9liorer le rapport viande\/graisse des animaux engraiss\u00e9s ou d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer leur croissance. \u00c0 ce jour, ces compos\u00e9s ne sont toutefois pas approuv\u00e9s comme adjuvants d\u2019engraissement (facteurs de croissance) au sein de l\u2019UE. En plus de leurs effets lipolytiques et anabolisants, les b\u00eata-agonistes ont des effets relaxants sur les muscles non stri\u00e9s. Ils peuvent donc \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s comme agents anti-asthmatiques et tocolytiques. Les r\u00e9sidus de b\u00eata-agonistes r\u00e9sultant d\u2019une utilisation ill\u00e9gale peuvent induire un risque pour les consommateurs.
