Granen
Van de oogst tot het eindproduct moeten veel stappen worden gecontroleerd en bewaakt om veilige producten van een hoge kwaliteit te verkrijgen.
R-Biopharm testkits kunnen gedurende de hele productieketen worden toegepast: van grondstoffen tot tussenproducten tot eindproducten, van de inspectie van binnenkomende goederen tot monitoring van de hygiëne en uiteindelijk tot de productanalyse voor de juiste etikettering. Ons grote portfolio van verschillende testformats kan worden gebruikt voor de analyse van granen zoals tarwe, mais, haver, rijst etc., meelsoorten, bakkerijproducten, taartmixen, pasta en veel andere graanproducten.
Mycotoxines
Granen zijn een van de belangrijkste bronnen van mycotoxines in de voedsel- en voederketen. Vanwege hun hoge prevalentie en giftigheid, bestaat wereldwijd in veel landen regelgeving met maximumumniveaus voor het mycotoxinegehalte in voedingsmiddelen. Betrouwbare screeningmethoden zijn voor fabrikanten van essentieel belang om te voldoen aan regelgeving en om de toxicologisch veiligheid van producten voor mens en dier te waarborgen.
Allergenen
In de meeste landen is het verplicht de ingrediënten die allergieën of intoleranties kunnen veroorzaken, op het etiket te vermelden. Maar onbedoelde besmetting tijdens opslag en productie komt door overbrenging heel veel voor. Daarom moeten fabrikanten zowel de binnenkomende grondstoffen alsook de eindproducten testen om ervoor te zorgen dat de etikettering correct is en dat terugroeping van producten niet nodig is.
Hygiënemonitoring
Door voeding overgedragen ziekten worden voornamelijke veroorzaakt door micro-organismen. De controle op pathogenen in de gehele productieketen is daarom cruciaal om de bescherming van de consument te waarborgen. Bovendien is het belangrijk typische bederforganismen te monitoren om verliezen tijdens de productie te verminderen en de stabiliteit van het product tot de aangegeven houdbaarheidsdatum te waarborgen.
Genetisch gemodificeerde organismen (GMO: Genetically Modified Organism)
De wereldwijde productie van genetisch gemodificeerde mais, rijst en soja neemt gestaag toe. In veel landen zijn drempelniveaus voor etikettering van producten die GMO’s bevatten, ingesteld om consumenten goed te informeren over de toepassing van biotechnologie. De detectie van GMO’s in voeding en diervoeder is essentieel om op correcte wijze te kunnen voldoen aan de etiketterings- en traceerbaarheidsvereisten.
Suikers en andere bestanddelen
Suikers en zuren, zoals citroenzuur, sorbitol en sucrose, worden vaak aan bakkerijproducten toegevoegd. Deze bestanddelen moeten worden gemeten om voedingsinformatie op etiketten te vermelden, om uniforme kwaliteit te waarborgen of om te voldoen aan wettelijke vereisten. Enzymatische testen worden wijdverbreid toegepast omdat ze gemakkelijk te gebruiken zijn en nauwkeurige resultaten geven, zelfs bij complexe matrices.
Vitaminen
Graanproducten worden vaak verrijkt met essentiële vitaminen om voldoende inname door de bevolking te waarborgen. Fabrikanten moeten ervoor zorgen dat de toegevoegde en natuurlijke vitaminegehaltes tot het eind van de vermelde houdbaarheidstermijn overeenkomen met de gegevens op het verpakkingsetiket.
Voedselfraude
Durum wheat (also known as Triticum durum) is the ideal raw material for pasta production and the economically most important wheat species. Since prices for durum wheat are usually higher than prices for non-durum wheat, grain products are sometimes adulterated with non-durum wheat.
