Deoxynivalenol komt vaak in veel plantenproducten voor, in het bijzonder in graanoogsten zoals tarwe, mais, gerst, haver en rogge.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Er zijn meer dan 150 trichothecenen bekend en de mycotoxines deoxynivalenol, 3-acetyl- en 15-acetyl-deoxynivalenol zijn de meest voorkomende toxines in Europa en Noord-Amerika. De toxineconcentraties die aangetroffen worden in tarwe, mais of rijst liggen vaak in het ppm-bereik.
