The test detects pacific cod (Gadus macrocephalus) DNA. Each reaction contains an internal amplification control and an internal detection assay for animal DNA (IAAC).
The real-time PCR assay can be used with established real-time PCR instruments, equipped for detection of two fluorescence emissions at 522 nm and 553 nm at the same time.

|Detection limit||The SureFood® FISH ID Gadus macrocephalus IAAC real-time PCR is developed for the detection of pacific cod DNA in muscle meat mixture at a relative amount of 2 %. The assay limit of detection depends on sample matrix, processing grade, DNA preparation and DNA content.|
