The test detects haddock (Melanogrammus aeglefinus) DNA. Each reaction contains an internal amplification control and an internal detection assay for animal DNA (IAAC). For DNA-preparation of raw material the use of SureFood® PREP Basic and for highly processed food and feed the use of SureFood® PREP Advanced is recommended.
The real-time PCR assay can be used with established real-time PCR instruments, equipped for detection of two fluorescence emissions at 522 nm and 553 nm at the same time. The technical validation of instruments was performed on Roche LightCycler® 2.0*, Roche LightCycler® 480 II, Qiagen Rotor-Gene Q, Applied Biossystems 7500, Bio-Rad CFX96 Agilent Mx3005P.
*note: A Color Compensation is necessary for users of the Roche LightCyclerR 2.0. The SureCC Color Compensation kit II (Art. No. F4010) must be used for the color compensation of such devices.
