Intended use
The product is a heparin affinity column that binds lactoferrin and separates it from other proteins ensuring accurate, reliable results across diverse applications.
General Information
The procedure is based on heparin affinity to bovine lactoferrin, which makes the test specific, sensitive, rapid and simple to perform.
The affinity column contains a heparin gel suspension that will capture bovine lactoferrin. Following extraction of the infant formula, the sample is centrifuged at 4 °C, the fat removed then the supernatant is passed through the column. The column is washed prior to elution. The eluate is collected and analysed by HPLC.
