General Information
Methyltestosterone (17α-methyltestosterone) is a synthetic androgen used to treat men with testosterone deficiency or to treat breast cancer in women. It is commonly used by fish farmers for sex reversal in fish to obtain fast-growing all-male populations for economic gains. Furthermore, methyltestosterone is illegally used in cattle as a growth promoter.
