RIDASCREEN DNSH
Art. No. R3740
Recently, Nifursol and its metabolite DNSH have been prohibited!
Nifursol is a nitrofuran antibiotic banned as a feed additive in the European Union and other countries. Nifursol is metabolized to 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acid hydrazide (DNSH) in living organisms, thus DNSH is the marker for illegal usage of nifursol in animal husbandry.
In the Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/1871 a reference point for action (RPA) of 0.5 µg/kg for DNSH and other nitrofuran metabolites has been applied from 28 November 2022. This means that now also the testing for DNSH is part of the residue monitoring plan in compliance with EU requirements to ensure the testing of veterinary drugs in aqua culture products.
RIDASCREEN DNSH
RIDASCREEN® DNSH (Art. No. R3740) is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative analysis of nifursol metabolite 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acid hydrazide (DNSH) in meat (poultry, pork, beef) and seafood (fish, shrimp, and prawn).
In order to avoid penalties for bringing contaminated food on the market and endangering the ability to deliver, testing for DNSH should also be part of your routine. You can perform the testing with our new RIDASCREEN ELISA (Art. No. R3740) for the quantitative detection of the nifursol metabolite 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acid hydrazide (DNSH) in meat and seafood. Its detection capability (CCβ) of 0.25 µg/kg for meat and seafood is half of the required reference point for action. Therefore, we provide you with the most suitable ELISA for Nifursol and DNSH on the market.
