SureFast® Vibrio Virulence 4plex
Art. No. F5181
Product info about SureFast® Vibrio Virulence 4plex
Intended use
SureFast® Vibrio Virulence 4plex is a real-time PCR multiplex assay for the qualitative detection and differentiation of specific DNA sequences of the virulence genes rtxA vvh, tdh, toxR, trh and rtxA in enriched food.
Detection of the cytolysin gene vvh is performed as a marker for the presence of potentially pathogenic Vibrio vulnificus. The genes tdh, toxR, and trh are detected as relevant virulence markers associated with gastrointestinal disease. Their detection serves as an indication of the presence of Vibrio parahaemolyticus. Detection of the virulence factor rtxA is performed as a marker for the presence of Vibrio cholerae.
General Information
The real-time PCR assay can be performed with commonly used real-time PCR instruments, equipped for detection of four fluorescence emissions at the channels FAM, VIC/HEX, ROX and Cy5 at the same time. The internal technical verification of instruments was performed on Roche LightCycler® 480 II, Bio-Rad CFX96 Dx, Bio-Rad CFX96 Opus, R-Biopharm RIDA®CYCLER, Qiagen Rotor-Gene Q and Agilent AriaDx.
