Intended use

The SureFood® ANIMAL ID 4plex LIVESTOCK Panel is a multiplex real-time PCR for the direct, qualitative detection and differentiation of specific

General Information

The real-time PCR assay can be performed with commonly used real-time PCR instruments, equipped for detection of four fluorescence emissions at the channels FAM, VIC/HEX, ROX and Cy5 at the same time. The internal technical verification of instruments was performed on Agilent AriaDx, Bio-Rad CFX96 Dx, R-Biopharm RIDA®CYCLER, Roche LightCycler® 480 II, Roche Lightcycler® PRO, Applied Biosystems QuantStudio 5 and Qiagen Rotor-Gene Q.

Sample preparationFor DNA-preparation of raw material the use of SureFood® PREP Basic (Art. No. S1052), SureFast® Mag PREP Food (Art. No. F1060) and for highly processed food and feed the use of SureFood® PREP Advanced (Art. No. S1053) is recommended.
LOD (Detection Limit)The SureFood® ANIMAL ID 4plex LIVESTOCK Panel real-time PCR is developed for the detection of animal DNA in muscle meat mixture at a relative amount of 0.1 %.
The limit of detection of the complete method (DNA extraction and real-time PCR) depends on sample matrix, processing grade, DNA-preparation and DNA-content.
