Product info

Enzytec™ Sodium

Art. No. E2590

Intended use

Enzytec™ Sodium is an enzymatic assay for the determination of sodium in foodstuff and other sample materials.

General Information

The determination of Sodium by enzymatic way is through the use of a beta-Galactosidase (GAL) sodium-dependent, in the presence of ONPG (o-nitrophenyl-beta-D-galactopyranoside) as substrate. The increase of absorbance makes it possible to assess the concentration of sodium in the sample at 405 nm.
Using the standards contained in the kit, traceable to the NIST 909b Reference Material, it is possible to prepare a 2 point Calibration Curve to refer.
Plotting on the Calibration Curve absorbance values and concentration for each single sample, may be determined the concentration of each sample.

Dear customers,

we have started to provide the documents for our products in an electronic format. These are the Instructions for Use (IFU), the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and the Certificate of Analysis (CoA). For batches placed on the market after 01 January 2024, you can find our documents on the eIFU portal eifu.r-biopharm.com/food.
