RIDASCREEN® Aflatoxin M1
Art. No.: R1121
Product info
Intended use
RIDASCREEN® Aflatoxin M1 is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative analysis of aflatoxin M1 in milk and milk powder.
General Information
Aflatoxins are carcinogenic, highly toxic metabolites of the mold fungus varieties Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus. Aflatoxin M1 is produced as a metabolite of aflatoxin B1. It is secreted with the milk after feeding of aflatoxin B1 containing feed to lactating cows. As aflatoxin M1 is relatively stable towards the pasteurizing process, not only a comprehensive routine check of the raw materials to be processed is required, but also of the final products. Since the first of January 1999 EU-wide uniform residue limits for aflatoxins exist. For aflatoxin M1 the limit has been fixed at 0.05 μg/L (50 ppb).
Benefits:
- One sample preparation and extraction required per sample for the analysis of aflatoxin und zearalonone, saving time and money.
- Optimised HPLC methods for the analysis of aflatoxin in peanuts (PuriTox Aflatoxin Art. No. RBRP25) or aflatoxin and zearalenone
in cereals (PuriTox AflaZON Art. No. TC-M160). - Easy-to-use syringe format suitable for testing peanuts or cereals – can be used with a vacuum manifold if requested.
