This competitive enzyme immunoassay is used for the quantitative determination of zeranol in urine, tissue and liver.
The use of zeranol for growth promotion in food producing animals has been banned within the European Union. Recommended concentrations have been set, to which screening tests should measure up to 1 µg/kg (ppb) for muscle, 2 µg/kg for liver and urine.
|Test format||Microtiter plate with 96 wells (12 strips with 8 wells each).|
|Sample preparation||For urine, tissue and liver fast and efficient methods are included in the kit manual.|
|Incubation time||1 h 30 min|
|LOD (Detection limit)||Urine 0.2 µg/l, tissue 0.7 µg/kg, liver 1.3 µg/kg|
|Detection capability CCβ||Urine 0.3 µg/l, tissue 0.7 µg/kg, liver 1.6 µg/kg|
