A competitive enzyme immunoassay for screening and quantitative analysis of zeranol in various matrices.
The use of zeranol for growth promotion in food producing animals has been banned within the European Union. Recommended concentrations have been set, to which screening tests should measure up to 1 ppb for muscle, 2 ppb for liver and urine.
|Test format||Microtiter plate, 96 wells.|
|Sample preparation||For urine, tissue, liver and serum fast and efficient methods are included in the kit manual.|
|Incubation time||90 min.|
|Detection limit||Urine 2.4 ppb|
Tissue 0.7 ppb
Liver 0.8 ppb
Serum 0.03 ppb
