The multiplex test detects DNA of macadamia, brazil nut and pecan according to directive (EC) 1169/2011. Each reaction contains an internal amplification control.
The real-time PCR assay can be used with established real-time PCR instruments, equipped for the detection of four fluorescence emissions at 510 nm, 580 nm, 610 nm and 660 nm (FAM, VIC/HEX, ROX and Cy5) at the same time. Internal validation was performed on Applied Biosystems 7500, Agilent Mx3005P, Agilent Aria Dx, Bio-Rad CFX96, Roche LightCycler® 480 II2, Roche cobas z 480 Analyzer2 and Qiagen Rotorgene Q.

|Detection limit||The SureFood® ALLERGEN 4plex Macadamia/Brazil Nut/Pecan+IAC PCR has a limit of detection of ≤ 0.4 mg / kg using SureFood® PREP Advanced, protocol 1. The limit of detection was determined using the SureFood® QUANTARD Allergen 40 (matrix: corn flour).|
For the Pecan real-time PCR system cross reactivity was observed with DNA extracts from shagbark hickory (Carya Ovata).
