Intended use:

The test detects chicken (Gallus gallus) DNA. Each reaction contains an internal amplification control and an internal detection assay for animal DNA (IAAC).

 

General information:

The real-time PCR assay can be used with established real-time PCR instruments, equipped for detection of two fluorescence emissions at 522 nm and 553 nm at the same time. The technical validation of instruments was performed on Roche LightCycler® 2.0*, Roche LightCycler® 480 II, Qiagen Rotor-Gene Q, Applied Biossystems 7500, Bio-Rad CFX96 Agilent Mx3005P.

*note: A Color Compensation is necessary for users of the Roche LightCyclerR 2.0. The SureCC Color Compensation kit II (Art. No. F4010) must be used for the color compensation of such devices.

Sample preparation For DNA-preparation the use of SureFood® PREP Basic and for highly processed food and feed the use of SureFood® PREP Advanced is recommended.
LOD (Detection limit) The SureFood® ANIMAL ID Chicken IAAC real-time PCR is developed for the detection of chicken DNA in muscle meat mixture at a relative amount of 0.1 %. The assay limit of detection depends on sample matrix, processing grade, DNA preparation and DNA content.
